Orbit Box Wallet
A little while after I made my Card Wallet, my sister wanted one too. She didn’t want to carry around a purse, and all the wallets she did have were too big to fit in her pockets. So I decided to make her one, but out of something else. So we came with the idea of using Orbit gum boxes, because she had a few laying around. So I got to work, and after a lot of tape and some time, I produced this:

Sunglasses
The story of my adventures with shades..
Once upon a time, I got a pair of sunglasses (lets call it A), and I lost them. Then I saw some more (B) at a store and I got them. So I took B to school and lost them. Then I found A at home, and I wore them to Great America when we went from school. My friend paid me 2$ to borrowed A for the day, and he lost them there. So he paid me 5$ because they cost me 7. The next day at school I found B again. Then a kid comes up to me and gives me A, and says he found them on a roller coaster and someone told him they were mine. So now I had A and B back.
A long time later I discovered I had lost A, then B, and then I found A awhile later. I used A a lot, and misplaced them quite a few times, and wore them in many pics… until I lost them again. After spending so much time without sunglasses, I went to the store and bought another pair (C). I lost C after a week, and I thought they were lost forever, so then I bought more (D). I didn’t like D, and they were too expensive, so I returned them. After that I found my sisters 7 year old shades(E). I thought I liked them at first, but after awhile I realized I didn’t like them, so I gave E back. Then I found C and decided they were the ones I liked. After that I found A again but I decided they were too small so now I stuck with C…
A few months later, I had no idea what happened to C. After a long and hard search, I finally found a pair I liked, and bought it (F). So I had F for a few weeks. I really liked them. I wore them to Great America. I wore F on all the roller coasters and they stayed on. Then I went on the ship ride, and I took F off and put them somewhere. When the ship turned upside down, they fell out. Then the ship came back down and F landed in the ship, but on the other side. The ship went upside down again, this time it didn’t come back down in time to catch them. So F went in the water. Now I’m back to E. I’ve gotten used to this pair, even though they’re kind of weird.
A few months later, and I still have pair E! But I saw this pair at the store for only 2.99, and it was a style I wanted to try out (G). I got used to G, and it seemed everyone else liked the ‘stunnas’ too. And now a month after that, I’ve managed to keep E and G. But when we made a trip to the dollar store, I couldn’t help but look through the sunglasses they had. And of course, I found a pair I liked. A more modern, almost matrix type of design. They were only 1$, so I got them. I really like this new pair, H, but unfortunately I left these shades at my sisters house last week, so now I only have E and G. But I will get H back too, and I will then have three! Muhahahah… I have 2 pairs to switch between and a backup.. I think that’s enough now.. =) ( In case you’re wondering, I’ve only spent around 15$ total on sunglasses =P)

A short anecdote about a sunglasses experience:
As some people may know, I dress like a secret agent sometimes. Like when i go to the airport. I have my fake leather jacket and black pants and dress shirt and my cell phone headset going into my ear and sunglasses. So some people look at me wierd. The last time I flew, I kept my sunglasses on, in the airplane. It was an evening flight. So after we took off a flight attendant asked me to come with him to the back. He then asked me if I could please take my sunglasses off because some of the passengers were getting nervous. It was dark and a person was wearing sunglasses. Apparently that made some people uncomfortable. (Of the dastar and dhari had nothing to do with it.. =P) So i agreed, and the guy kept apologizing because he didn’t want to offend me.. and maybe he was a little afraid.. hahahaha..
And now.. the reason why I wear sunglasses..

Fateh Door Greeting..
I had an idea awhile back, and i finally put it into action. Here’s what i wanted: when someone opens the door to my room, a clip of my voice is played, and they think i’m inside. When you open my room door you see a wall, and stairs. So you don’t know if someone is there until you go all the way up. One day i saw this little voice recording chip at RadioShack. It was for those little gifts, where you press one button and record a 20 sec message and then press another button to play it back. So I bought it and hooked it up to my door in such a way that when the door is opened or closed the play button gets pressed. So of course, when you press the button, the recording plays. But the speaker was very small, and it didn’t actually sound like someone said it. So i hooked that up with an amplified speaker, and it becomes much louder. Then i decided to record “Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru JI Ki Fateh” in the chip, so whenever one enters my room, they are greeted with Fateh. Here are a few pictures and a video clip:

Punjabi Number Clock with Illumination..
My dad saw this clock for 1$, and I thought I’d try to modify it somehow, so we got it. I wanted to change the background, because I it looked boring and unattractive. I also wanted a clock with punjabi numbers. First I opened it up, and took it apart. I removed the background printing, and scanned it into the computer. Then I used photoshop to add punjabi numbers. I realized I might as well add a cool background too. So I looked at some pictures and stuff, and I decided to use my Blasted Khanda design as the background. Then I printed it and cut it out. Next I inserted this new piece on top of the old one. Might as well throw a LED in too, just to make it look cool, and readable in the dark. So i cut a spot in the bottom and added a blue LED. I connected it to a 3V wall outlet adapter and made a slit in the back for the wire to come through. Then I put everything back together. Alternatively I could’ve had the LED be solar powered so it would charge all day and turn on automatically at night. A battery could have been used as well, but for now I decided just to plug it in.
Here’s the original clock:
And here’s the modified version:
