Air VSK Shoes
I had this pair of really nice Nike shoes, which I wore for a long time. Eventually they got extremely dirty, and even though I cleaned them nicely, some of the logos came off, the inside soles were coming off, and they were very worn out. I got another pair of shoes, but I never threw those away.
I remembered them a couple of years later and dug them out. I realized they still fit me, so maybe I could repair them a little. It would be a fun project and I would have a newish customized pair of shoes.
First I scrubbed them clean, inside and out. I also took off as much of the dirt encrusted on the bottom as I could. After that I covered them with white shoe polish and made them look new again.
Then I printed out my own VSK logos to replace the missing NIKE ones. I cut these out, gluing layer upon layer of paper under them to make them thicker. Then I laminated those pieces and super-glued them on.
I then ripped out the cloth on the inside, which was already coming off. After cleaning the padding under it, I got an old t-shirt and cut out the same sized cloth. Then I used rubber cement to stick the new clean cloth in place of the old ones.
After that I bought new shoelaces and put them in, and now I have a set new-looking air VSK shoes! I almost forgot how comfortable they are!

Card Wallet Returns!
My original card wallet had an accident, and came to its very much unfortunate demise. It had served me well, with unquestionable loyalty until the day I left it in my pants. The poor wallet was tossed around like a pack of playing cards in the great hurricane that occurred in the washing machine. i then had no choice but to stoop down to the level of the average person and carry around a NORMAL wallet. Oh the humiliation I suffered! One day, I realized I would not be able to continue like this any longer. Therefore I decided to recreate the card wallet once more, better than ever! Driven by my ambitious thirst for power, I set to work on the creature. And I succeeded. Ohh yes, it is back.. and it is ALIVEEE!!

Lit Glass Angel Birthday Present
It was my sister’s (Simran Kaur) birthday on Dec. 31 st (thats right, New Years Eve!) and I figured I would get her something nice this year, because she always buys me stuff. There was this small glass Angel figurine that caught my eye at a store, and I remembered my sister really likes angels, so I bought it for her. It wasn’t that expensive though, and it didn’t feel like that was enough. So I started to make a base for it. I had an idea that it would look great with a light under it. I punched a hole in an Altoids can and put an LED through it, and batteries inside. Then I cut an opening on the side for a switch. I found an old makeup mirror and I glued that on top, after drilling a partial hole in it to let the light through. After that I spray painted the whole thing gold, to match the halo on the angel. Finally I printed a little note, laminated it and glued it to the bottom of the base. Now its on display at her house! Here are some pictures:

Ikon Creations – home made greeting cards! – Randomness #0
My little sister, Ikonkar Kaur, has been creating hand made cards for people for the past few years, and I decided its finally time to get her some recognition. Although she is not very proud of them, I figured this was a good way to show her progress. Here are some pictures of cards she has made
